How to check if your opt-ins are bringing you money

You may argue that the success of your opt-ins should be measured by how many people subscribed to your list. But if you focus on that, there’s no way of telling if your subscribers are qualified leads.

– Hi! in this video, I would like to show you how to figure out if your opt-in methods are effective. First of all, you can think of like, “I can check my opt-ins rate, like conversion rate, how many people visited the website, and how many converted?” Yes, you can. But what is the quality of those leads? Did they make you money or not? So, in this video, I’ll show you how to do it quickly in Klaviyo. Everybody know, well, is this tool Wheelio. When it shows on your website, you have to spin the wheel and it will give you some kind of discount. But the question is, how effective is that? In terms of opt-in rate, it’s very effective. I sold between 12 to 26% opt-in rate, which is extremely high. However, are they good opt-ins or bad opt-ins? Do they make you money or not? Maybe they have high op-in rate because they just, it’s fun to turn the wheel. But do they generate you money? So, so here’s what we do. So, for this client, I created a segment called properties about, let me just do it this way. So, we do properties about someone, we do create it. They collect data for a very long time. And I’m just curious about the holiday season, holiday season, November. How did it perform from middle of October to these days? So, create it. We do this after, and let’s do 10, 15, 20. Okay. So, it’s middle of October. And let’s do, somebody is, is Wheelio. Wheelio, okay. Update. So, I already did this two tasks before this video, so, there’s 12, 1200, 12,000 subscribers. So, what you do next? Okay. It takes forever to generate the segment, so I’ll show you how to export on different segments. The same logic applies, but I will just disregard the name, but you will do the same steps. Okay, so I pick any list. I click on Manage Segments and click Export Segment to CSV. And here, I care about only e-mails and total, Total Customer Lifetime Value. Click, click this and Start Export. So, once export is done, I will open the file. So, this is the file I already exported before. Okay. So now, what I need to do, I need to select the column and see how much revenue it generated. So this list, since October, generated 198,000 subscribers. So, I can tell right away, that, that this opt-in method for this brand is very effective. They have approximately 16% opt-in rate. And for 12,000, 12,000 subscriber they generated. 198,000, 198,000, which is, which ever brings average order $216, which is above the store average order value. And the conclusion, this method is effective. So, I show you how to do it for only one segment, but you can generate whatever segments you want to generate.
