Sometimes if you have pop-up or you’re collecting emails or you don’t want to send a confirmation message. And today I’ll show you how to do it.
Contact support team
The first thing – you need to contact support team for them to enable this for your account. And you should have paid account. So if you have a free account you will not be able to contact them because you don’t have support chat. So the first thing you have to have a paid account.
So when you have a paid account under your username or account name you can click on live chat and ask the support team to enable your double opt-in option. So you can uncheck and I’ll show you how to do it.
After the double opt-in option enabled
So when it’s enabled you go to your lists and segments.
Then you filter by list.
Let’s say we want to pick this list, the first one. You open the list and then you click on settings.
And here you have option “Require subscriber to confirm their subscription before being added to your list”.
So let’s say it’s enabled, if you do not want to send them confirmation email you just uncheck this and update list settings.
If you want them to double opt-in, double opt-in means they subscribed, they receive confirmation email they click confirm and then they will be added to your list. If they do not click confirm they are not part of your list.
So double opt-in and confirmation this the best practice to use, but many of my customers and many people do not want to do this for marketing reasons. And I do understand like you don’t want to overload your, like your subscriber. So it’s up to you, the purposes of this video only to show you how to do it.
