Lexie: 1:14
Hi. Thanks, Vira.
Vira: 1:16
We’re so excited to have you here. I have, like, a gazillion of questions about all of the exciting, like, new platforms and all of the exciting apps. And that’s exactly what we will be talking today with Lexie. But Lexie, before we go there, let’s play a little Q&A, like, blitz Q&A, just, like, to get to know you better.
Lexie: 1:34
Sounds great. Let’s do it.
Vira: 1:35
Okay, let’s do this. Shopping online or offline?
Lexie: 1:39
Online.
Vira: 1:40
Yes. Yes. I mean, you might be biased slightly.
Lexie: 1:44
Just don’t make me leave my couch.
Vira: 1:45
Okay. Sorting by price or by rating?
Lexie: 1:52
Price. I love a good deal. Yes.
Vira: 1:54
Yes. I mean, I normally go for, like, a combo of price and rating, but yeah, who doesn’t like a good deal? Okay. Email or SMS?
Lexie: 2:05
Gotta say email.
Vira: 2:06
Yeah, you’ve gotta. Book or podcast?
Lexie: 2:10
Podcast. I love being able to multitask and do other things while I’m listening.
Vira: 2:15
What’s the recent one? The last one you listened to?
Lexie: 2:18
Oh man. You know, I gotta say, I love the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Vira: 2:23
I’ve never, I’ve never heard.
Lexie: 2:25
I don’t know if I can talk about that one on here, but it’s, it’s a good podcast.
Vira: 2:29
In this, in the Blitz Q&A, Q&A section, you definitely can. Okay, cool.
Lexie: 2:34
If anybody knows, they know. It’s, it’s got some really good informative stuff in there, uh, kind of sprinkled in with the, the more fun or outlandish stuff.
Vira: 2:44
Awesome. Okay, Lexie, the last one. If there was a song playing every time you entered the room, what would it be?
Lexie: 2:50
Oh, man. If there was a song playing.
Vira: 2:54
Yeah, like your theme song. Like Lexie song.
Lexie: 2:57
That’s a stumper. There was a song playing. Probably Woman by Kesha.
Vira: 3:05
That’s a good one. And I feel like this year it’s been so trendy. Like, a lot of girls would wouldn’t say that probably, but that’s a good song.
Lexie: 3:14
It’s a good one, right?
Vira: 3:15
That’s a good one. Yes. Okay, Lexie, so let’s go to all of the juicy Klaviyo questions.
Lexie: 3:22
Let’s do it.
Vira: 3:24
Let’s do this. You guys, some of you are already using Klaviyo or other marketing platforms, but using platforms like Klaviyo, it’s very powerful because you can integrate a lot of different apps and platforms into Klaviyo. Basically, the setup in most of the cases is not complicated and all the integrations are ready to go. Basically, you’re able to import data from other marketing tools and ecommerce platforms and use it for your segmentation flows and campaigns building purposes. Lexie, in a few words, can you explain what are Klaviyo integrations and what platforms Klaviyo can be integrated with, what types of platforms and what this integration’s mostly used for?
Lexie: 4:10
Yeah, absolutely. So, um, kind of like what you said, Klaviyo is the all-in-one marketing platform that allows businesses to go in and create and manage their targeted email campaigns, SMS messages, and honestly so much more. There’s a huge range of integrations that you can use on Klaviyo. And some of the most popular ones are, um, e-commerce platforms, CRM and customer service tools, and some social media platforms. You can integrate with a variety of popular ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and this allows businesses to seamlessly sync their data, order information, and product data to create targeted campaigns based on what their customer behavior is and their purchase history. When it comes to CRMs and customer service tools, Klaviyo can also integrate with popular customer relation managements Um, kind of like Salesforce or HubSpot, anything like that, as well as customer service tools like Zendesk or Gorgeous. And this can allow businesses to better understand their customers and to provide a more personalized and effective customer support. And lastly, we all love social media. Klaviyo also integrates with that, like Facebook and Instagram, and that allows business owners to create targeted social media campaigns based on the data that they’re getting from their Klaviyo customers.
Vira: 5:31
Yeah, I mean, the most popular platforms that businesses normally integrate Klaviyo with is probably support tickets platforms or different shipping and surveys and order management platforms. Klaviyo has a ton of popular integrations with these commonly used tools. But today in this episode, we want to talk about some of the apps that you might have heard about but probably not using or not using enough. So Lexie, tell us about like the apps that we will be discussing today? Like let’s like introduce the apps that we’ll be talking about today, like briefly.
Lexie: 6:10
Absolutely. So as the partner relations specialist here at Flowium, I get to talk to a lot of different partners within different technology apps to expand our clients’ tech stacks. So today I really want to talk about Jebbit, Postpilot, Gatsby, and Loyalty Lion, who are some of my most favorite partners.
Vira: 6:28
Yeah. Yeah. And some of them, spoiler alert, they’ve been on our podcast. Some of them will be on our podcast soon and And we will link all of the previous podcast episodes where we talked with people from these platforms. We will link them in the description to this podcast. So definitely go and re-listen to this episode if you want to get in-depth understanding of what that platform is or what it does. Today we’re going to be giving you sort of like a big picture view almost. So you can listen to us and you can decide whether or not it’s a good fit for you. So Lexie, let’s start with Jabbit. What is Jabbit and why should ecommerce businesses consider it?
Lexie: 7:08
So Jebbit is the leading software that you can use to collect zero-party data at scale. It’s a no-code quiz and digital experience builder. So there’s dozens of products and prebuilt quizzes, experience templates, branding and customization within every step of the way, and dynamic functionality.
Vira: 7:26
Yeah.
Lexie: 7:27
With Jebbit for Shopify, your merchants can create interactive experiences that are all tailored to their brand and their products, and they capture really valuable customer data and insights for you. These interactive experiences can be embedded directly into that merchant’s Shopify site, as well as in their email campaigns, social media posts, and a bunch of other marketing channels. With the Klaviyo Jebbit integration, it allows those businesses to use the data collected through Jebbit’s interactive experiences to create personalized email campaigns within Klaviyo. So some pretty cool stuff there.
Vira: 8:01
Yeah, yeah. And I mean, we talk a lot about zero-party data and it’s such a buzzword these days, I feel like, but I mean, it’s powerful. Right? Zero-party data, for those of you who don’t know, it’s basically the data that customer volunteers to give you. So instead of gathering that data from third-party sellers, there are these platforms that can sell you a list or the information about your list or stuff like that. Instead of doing that, and this is honestly so 2000s, instead of doing that, you can literally ask your customer, hey, who you are? What are your preferences? Do you like red socks or green socks? What music do you listen to. You can gather all this amazing data to customize that experience for your customer.
Lexie: 8:50
Yeah.
Vira: 8:50
And I think the tools like Jabbit are super, super powerful. And I mean, even in the flows, you can do something as easy as customizing your welcome flow. For example, when a new subscriber joins your email list, you can use platforms like Jabbit to send them an interactive quiz or survey to gather more information about that customer. And then the data can actually be recorded in Klaviyo as a custom field, or basically it can be recorded directly in customer’s profile. And then you can segment customers based on that data in their profile. So you can say something like, okay, we want to send this Red Sox campaign to everyone who has Red Sox as their preferred color of the socks in their account. This data that can be used to personalize your welcome email series, to personalize basically all of your communication with the client and with the customer. And then you can use that data to offer them relevant content or products. Same for the product recommendation flow. You can use Jabbit to send customers an interactive quiz or survey to gather information about their product preferences. And then you can create a separate flow with that information. This data can be used to create personalized product recommendations with personalized discounts and stuff like that. Yeah, I think platforms like Jabbit are super, super powerful because your customers are literally telling you what they want and who they are and what they want, basically. Yeah.
Lexie: 10:28
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Jabbit’s definitely a must-have.
Vira: 10:31
Yeah, definitely. Lexie, have you ever done one of those product quizzes? Have you ever like try them like on the websites, you know, like the skincare or I don’t like the fashion ones.
Lexie: 10:44
Oh yeah, absolutely. I am someone who when I was growing up in high school would dye my hair very frequently. So whenever I would go to try out, you know, like a new shampoo or a new brand of like boxed hair dye, don’t do that. If you’re 16 listening to this, don’t do that. But, you know, it’s really cool to figure out, you know, like what kind of health products you would need to get your hair back, depending on, you know, what your hair feels like or what it looks like, you know, things that you want to accomplish with it. Those quizzes are super cool. And what I really like about Jebbit is it doesn’t matter if your store has a million different SKUs or just one product, you know, you can, you can use a quiz for anything in between and really target what the use for it is. So I like that about Jebbit a lot.
Vira: 11:36
That’s a good point because often people think that this like quizzes platform, they are only for like skincare or fashion brands because they have like a lot of SKUs. Um, but you can in fact use that tool to just like learn more about the customer that you already have. And I, I myself, I love those quizzes, like all kinds of like quizzes, BuzzFeed quizzes, like what kind of Disney, Disney princess are you? Like all that stuff. I love them. I think it’s It’s just like human nature. We all want to learn something new about ourselves in a way. So quizzes are fun. I love them. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. So the next app on our list is postpilot.com. And in fact, if you guys go to episode number 126, How Direct Mail Can Help Your Ecommerce Business, you can learn a lot about Postpilot because they were actually guests on our podcast. But Lexie, for those who haven’t listened to that episode, what is Postpilot and why people should be excited about. Let’s specifically talk about their, like, physical mail aspect of Postpilot. Yeah.
Lexie: 14:05
Yeah. Yeah. We love Postpilot. Um, so Postpilot offers a bunch of features that allow businesses to send handwritten cards to their customers in addition to your emails and SMS. This kind of feature can help businesses create a more personal connection with their customers and stand out from the competitors who might only rely on automated emails. So whether you want to send a reminder for like a replenishable good Or if you just kind of want to say, hey, thanks for being a loyal customer. Here’s a discount in a tangible card. You can do that through Postpilot.
Vira: 14:39
Yeah. And you’re actually getting like a physical card in the mail. That’s what’s crazy to me. I mean, and the craziest part is that you can actually integrate that physical card send process into your existing flows, just like you said, Lexie. So when it comes—
Lexie: 14:59
It’s so seamless.
Vira: 15:00
It’s insane. It’s like literally adding this this little, I don’t know, additional step to your flows. And this step would trigger the creation and the send of the card to your customer. I know that a lot of brands are using Postpilot in their post-purchase sequences, especially for VIP sequences, because you want to give a bit of a white glove service treatment to your VIPs because these are your core customers, right? And like sending that handwritten letter, sometimes it’s just like it, all it takes to win that customer back, right?
Lexie: 15:42
Yeah. It gives you just like a little bit of a boost when it comes to the personal touch on your brand and kind of really shows the customer that you care about them and that, you know, we’re here for them.
Vira: 15:54
Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, what is the most powerful for me is actually that combination of these 2 channels, Klaviyo and Postpilot, that like integration aspect. It’s so powerful because Businesses can literally create more comprehensive post-purchase communication strategy. They can drive more sales. They can increase customer loyalty. And it doesn’t require them to do anything extra. You can literally marry 2 platforms together and everything will be done for you. And I also like that these cards, they actually look handwritten. I mean, I think they are using some sort of technology or something, like a robot or something, to actually write those cards. So they are not printed necessarily. I mean, you can get a printed card, but I’m sure they, as far as I remember, they do have this handwritten notes as well.
Lexie: 16:46
Sure do. Yeah. They probably use one of those, like a jumbo Cricut machine. You know, those Cricuts that people use?
Vira: 16:54
Yeah. Yeah. I think, and I think I was discussing it either with them or with other platform that we had on the call, but they even said that they even have different variations of the same letter. So it looks more like a real handwritten note. So they have 10 variations of letter A and they use different of them so the letter looks authentic. This is so cool.
Lexie: 17:19
Yeah. And you can also change that handwritten font. So it could be a more masculine font or a feminine kind of bubbly one. You can use calligraphy if you have a real fancy e-commerce store. It’s endless.
Vira: 17:33
Yeah, that’s so cool. That’s so cool. No, I love technology like this. And this is not the most obvious one, right? In the world of e-commerce, getting like a handwritten note, it’s not very popular. But I mean, that’s why it’s so powerful because you kind of don’t expect to receive the handwritten note, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, cool. The next app that we want to talk about is Loyalty Lion. I’m sure you guys are using different loyalty programs. Loyalty programs are powerful, but Lexie, tell us a bit about Loyalty Lion and how is it different from like other loyalty programs on the market?
Lexie: 18:11
Yeah, Loyalty Lion is amazing. They’re a customer loyalty program platform that helps your business create and manage your loyalty programs with the goal to increase customer engagement and retention. So the platform allows businesses to reward their customers for a variety of different actions, like making purchases, referring referring friends, writing product reviews, and honestly so much more. The customers can earn points for these actions, which then can be redeemed for rewards like discounts, free products, and exclusive experiences.
Vira: 18:43
Yeah. Yeah. Uh, we have actually clients who are using the, um, who are using that, um, platform. And, uh, yeah, I mean, you can do like so much, uh, with the platforms like Loyalty Lion. The most obvious flow or automation that you can do the reward points for signing up.
Lexie: 19:03
Yes.
Vira: 19:04
So you can use Klaviyo to create that automated email campaign that invites customer to join the program. And then once the customer joined the program, you can send them an automated thank you message with that points that can be redeemed toward the purchase of the product or maybe towards some exclusive merch. And we have clients that they exclusively offer this merch and it can’t be purchased. It can only be purchased with points. So people kind of have motivation to spend if they want to get that exclusive branded poop bags for dogs because this is the brand, the pet brand that we work with. But also you can send personalized reward emails. So Klaviyo can be used to create those personalized email campaigns that inform your customer about the amount of the points that they have. And also you can inform your customer about how to earn the points, how to unlock the next level of rewards. And by the way, you can create different sort of levels like Starbucks has. They have silver or gold level or whatever. You can do the same with loyalty alliance, but also you can create the set of promotions that exclusively will be distributed to your loyalty alliance members. So access to sales or access to special discounts or just I already mentioned the access to exclusive products or stuff like that. It’s also a powerful tool for win-back flows and campaigns. Instead of giving a discount code to your customer, you can reward them with some points that can be again used in order to— they can be used for the purchase. You can incentivize them to make a purchase, basically. So yeah, it’s a very exciting tool, and we hope to have them on our podcast soon. So definitely stay tuned, you guys.
Lexie: 21:06
Stay tuned.
Vira: 21:07
Yes. Cool. Another platform, last platform that we will be talking about is Gatsby. And honestly, out of all of the platforms that we talked about today, this one is kind of the one that I know the least about because I personally haven’t used it, but I plan to use it for my clients, and I’m very, very excited about it. So Lexie, tell us about Gatsby, who they are, what they do, and why brands should be excited about using them.
Lexie: 21:41
For sure. So Gatsby is a customer data platform that can allow your business to unify your customer data from different sources and creates a comprehensive customer profile. It integrates with a range of different marketing tools like Klaviyo, and that’s to help your business create a more effective marketing campaign based on the customer’s behavior and their preferences. Now, the integration between Gatsby and Klaviyo allows your business to create a more personalized and targeted email campaign by leveraging the customer data stored in Gatsby. And, you know, a few examples on how it can be used is with segmenting customers, personalizing your email content, and automating email campaigns. Those are a few big Yeah.
Vira: 22:26
And by the way, we had Gatsby on our podcast. It was podcast number 121. We were talking about influencer marketing best practices. And basically the things that you can do with platforms like Gatsby, and I’m saying platforms like Gatsby, but that’s pretty much the only platform I know that can do that, is that you can actually sync the Gatsby Insights from social media with Klaviyo. So for example, when someone mentions you on their Instagram, in Instagram stories or in Instagram posts, and they tag you, and if you have that person in your Klaviyo database, that can actually trigger the flow. It can be, by the way, SMS or email, and it works with other platforms like Attentive too. So instead of doing that manually instead of having a person who would manually thank your influencers for tagging you or thank them for mentioning you. You can literally send them the freaking automated message. And this is what is crazy to me, that you can actually automate this process. And yeah, organizing all of your influencer DMs in one place, it’s huge. And with platforms like Gatsby or with Gatsby, you can do it automatically. Yeah.
Lexie: 23:51
Cool stuff. Cool, cool stuff.
Vira: 23:53
Definitely, guys, check out that episode number 121 if you want to learn more about the ways to integrate it with Klaviyo and about all of the flows that can be created. And by the way, you can, you can use this information not just for flows, but for campaigns as well. You can create a segment saying like, include everyone who mentioned us on Instagram in the last 30 days and then send them like a gift or send them the promotion or something. So if you think about it, there are like a ton of ways how you can use Gatsby. And if you do use them, share their experience with us. We’re always, it’s always fun to hear from fellow email marketing enthusiasts and fellow email marketing nerds.
Lexie: 24:37
Absolutely.
Vira: 24:38
Yeah. Yeah. Well, thank you so much, Lexie. So let’s just like quickly summarize these 4 platforms. So what they are and what they are for, just like a quick summary.
Lexie: 24:48
Yeah, so Jebbit, anything that you need zero-party data collection and, uh, building out a quiz or calculator on your landing page. Postpilot, if you want that really customizable, personalized method of marketing. So taking everything that you do with your email flows in Klaviyo and putting them all in a handwritten card. Gatsby, taking all of your information, integrating it into Klaviyo to give that more personalized and targeted, um, aspects of your email campaign. for your customer data and for Loyalty Lion implementing just a really freaking good loyalty program that is just completely different from anyone other’s platform.
Vira: 25:30
Cool. Thank you so much, Lexie. Thank you so much.
Lexie: 25:32
Thank you, Vira.
Vira: 25:33
Yeah, you guys, I mean, obviously you can learn more in depth about these platforms if you go to their websites. And Lexie, we will share our Flowium links as well in the description, right?
