Vira: 1:51

So many things to celebrate and so little time. Right, Alissa?

Alissa: 1:55

So many things, so little time.

Vira: 1:57

Best friend’s wedding. National Poppy Day. Yes. Like, where would you start?

Alissa: 2:03

I know, and there’s a Jewish holiday actually called Purim where, like, everybody dresses up. It’s kind of like the Jewish version of Halloween. Like, sort of everyone dresses up in costumes. And then we read the story of Esther. And in the Bible, not to be religious, but anyways, yeah, it’s a lot of fun. We have a lot of fun. It’s like a big party. Everybody makes these cookies called hamantaschens, and it’s a lot of fun. So I’m excited for March.

Vira: 2:27

Oh, my gosh. It’s gonna be an eventful few months for you, girl. Yes, yes.

Alissa: 2:31

I’m excited about it. I’m really excited about it.

Vira: 2:34

Cool. Well, as I already said, like, so many things to celebrate in March. And I’m sure you guys all seen those, like, cute dog or, like, puppy videos that flood Our Instagram feed in March for National Puppy Day. And there are, like, really beautiful, artfully shot, like, latte pictures for National Coffee Day. And these holidays might not be big holidays that are celebrated all over the world, but they can actually be a really fun little way to engage with your customers online through social media or through email. In today’s podcast, we’ve actually outlined some of our favorite holidays in March and some official holidays and some not so official holidays. And we kind of want this podcast to be your blueprint for your email marketing strategy in March. So this March, there is, like, a lot to celebrate. So finding interesting holidays or, like, observances should be easy. So, yeah, a lot of things to celebrate. World Compliment Day, National Napping Day, National Puppy Day, Women’s International Day. Some of our other personal favorites include, like, International Day of Happiness, National Puppy Day. I already mentioned it. Like, poppy. I already mentioned this word like 10 times or something in this podcast. We should do, like, a game, you know, like a shot game. It used to be socks and mattresses, and this episode is going to be Puppy. You guys, anytime. Every time we mentioned Take a shot, take a shot, take a shot. Another favorite of mine is. Yeah, the socks and mattress thing.

Alissa: 4:53

Yeah. Well, no, I forgot about the International Women’s Day. That’s a big one for a lot of the brands that we work with. Very true.

Vira: 4:59

A big one. That’s a big one. That’s a big one. There’s also a National Get Over It Day, which is like. Like what. What would you. What email would you send on, like, National Get Over a Day? But also there is a St. Patrick’s Day, right? And a lot of brands are, like, capitalizing on this holiday. Whether you feel feel a bit Irish or not. This is, like the day to send.

Alissa: 5:23

Everyone’s Irish for one day a year. One day, everybody’s Irish. And it’s on Saint Patrick’s. Day. That’s when you drink green beer. You wear all green.

Vira: 5:31

I’ve never had it. Believe it or not, I’ve never had a beer.

Alissa: 5:34

It tastes like normal beer. No, it’s just normal. Yeah, they just put food dye in it or, like, food dye coloring in it, and then it just turns green. It’s really not the most exciting thing in the world. And if you’re. If you’re sick, it’s green.

Vira: 5:46

Oh, my gosh. Alissa.

Alissa: 5:50

Just to paint that nice picture for everybody.

Vira: 5:53

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever, like, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day property. Like, I don’t even own green stuff. Believe it or not. I don’t own, like, a single green item in my wardrobe. Yeah. Like, seriously, like, all my stuff. They’re like, I don’t. I don’t know nothing.

Alissa: 6:11

You would look really nice in olive green. What the heck? We need to get some olive green in your. In your wardrobe here. I’m gonna buy you, like, an olive green shirt or something.

Vira: 6:20

Do this. You still have time until March 17th.

Alissa: 6:23

Seventeenth, yeah. Which actually, that’s the same day as Purim, the Jewish holiday. It’s on Saint.

Vira: 6:30

So you’re gonna be celebrating two holidays.

Alissa: 6:32

Yes. I’m gonna dress up as a leprechaun for Purim, I think.

Vira: 6:36

Listen, I feel like you can. You can do that. I could do it.

Alissa: 6:40

I’m short enough, right?

Vira: 6:42

Yeah.

Alissa: 6:44

I also have to do a special shout out. A special shout out to Olga, who’s one of our account managers or project managers now at Flowium. She’ll be celebrating National Puppy Day because now she has two new black puppy Labradors and they’re so cute. And then also shout, one of our newer project managers or one of our other project managers, Uzair. He’ll be celebrating National Napping Day this year for sure. We have, like, this thing internally called our Flowium universe, where everyone does, like, a special board. On our Miro board, it’s a cool app if you haven’t used it before. But they do, like, an A board that’s, like, all about me. So, like, they put pictures of themselves, their family, where they’ve traveled, like, all this cool stuff, and on who there’s board just right in the middle. It’s like, hey, I’m Uzair and I love napping, even in photos. And there’s a picture of him, like, posing with his eyes closed. And I saw it today, and I literally could not stop laughing. It was so funny. Yeah, that’s. Shout out to Olga and Uzair. For your special days that are coming in March.

Vira: 7:43

Yay. What are the some of them? Monthly observances in March. Alissa, I know you. You have quite a few of them. Yeah.

Alissa: 7:50

So these. These are really cool, too. So if any of these monthly observances, they match or align with your brand and your brand’s initiatives, it’s really cool to kind of do something for, like, the course of the month. Whether it’s sending out a campaign every week, rem reminding your customers about what these monthly observances are, or because of the monthly observant. Your observance, you are, like, donating to a local charity that aligns with that observance, whatever it is. So the monthly observances from March are Women’s History Month, which is super cool. National Craft Month, which is also very cool. Optimism Month. That is my month because I’m sometimes overly optimistic. And then National Nutrition Month, which this is a great one for supplement brands. And so you can do sales, you can do food donation campaigns, you can do education, educational content around the monthly observance of National Nutrition Month. And this is actually a cool one for one of my brands too. So I’ll need to do this now. I’m thinking. I’m like, oh, no, I need to improve the March calendar. But anyways, so let’s get into it. Let’s get into, like, specific days. And some of these, again, are really silly, but some of them are really inspiring. And just keeping in mind, as well as we’re talking about these, that the goals of your campaigns really should be to educate, to inspire, sometimes to entertain, but then also to promote or sell. So thinking about, like, what bucket these campaigns would fall into for you, and then implementing these for your own brands. So we start with March 2, which is a very important holiday. It’s National Banana Cream Pie Day here in the US.

Vira: 9:18

Do whatever you want with this information. It’s like, we’re gonna give it to you, and then it’s not our problem anymore. National Banana Cream Pie Day. Here you go, guys.

Alissa: 9:28

Here it is. Do what you will. I actually hate bananas, so this isn’t a day that I’ll necessarily be celebrating, but as Vira mentioned, do what you want with this. And the unsaid rule of marketing is any day worth celebrating is also a day worth selling. This is. I think this is a Vira Sadlak original.

Vira: 9:45

But it’s, like, so true. It’s not mine. I found it. I found it somewhere.

Alissa: 9:50

Never mind, Never mind, Never mind.

Vira: 9:52

Yeah. And I was like, yeah, that makes sense.

Alissa: 9:54

It does I 100% agree with that sentiment. Okay, March 4th is National Grammar Day. And you can obviously use the hashtag National Grammar Day for anyone who’s very grammatically spot on. This is a fun day for you. March 6th is Alissa Taggart’s half birthday. So that’s the first thing that you should be sending for a campaign.

Vira: 10:13

What is that even the thing, Alissa? Like, seriously?

Alissa: 10:17

It’s a really silly thing that kids usually do, like, here in the US but also, like, adults will, like, say in a silly way. So, like, I don’t actually celebrate my half birthday. If someone do. If someone. If someone came to me with half a cake, I wouldn’t be mad.

Vira: 10:32

But how to, like, calculate your.

Alissa: 10:35

So it’s just six months. Six months after your birthday. So when’s your birthday, Vira?

Vira: 10:40

Gosh, how do I. October 17th.

Alissa: 10:42

October 17th.

Vira: 10:43

Like eminems. Yeah.

Alissa: 10:46

So your half birthday would be April 17th.

Vira: 10:49

Okay, so it’s not the exact amount of days.

Alissa: 10:53

No, no, no, no. It’s just six months later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Six months later.

Vira: 10:58

So April 17th, huh?

Alissa: 10:59

Yeah.

Vira: 10:59

That’s my half birthday.

Alissa: 11:01

Yeah. Okay, I’m gonna put it in my calendar.

Vira: 11:04

Content idea for April, you guys. Yours have birthday. That’s fun, Alissa. I didn’t know it was a thing.

Alissa: 11:11

Yeah, there you go. So now you know. Now you can tell your husband, listen, I want half of my wish list for my half birthday. Because you can’t ask for, like, half of a thing, right? So you have to say, like, Okay, I have 10 items on my wish list. I need five of them for my half birthday. And then in time for your birthday.

Vira: 11:28

Can you just hear me, like, clicking on the keyboard right now? Because I’m sending my husband calendar invite for April 17, saying, Buy Vira half cake, half carrot cake.

Alissa: 11:43

All the clicking in the back. But March 6th is actually national Dress Day, so this is a really good one. If you’re in the fashion industry, you can mark it on your marketing calendar, run a flash sale, so that way you can generate more sales or even do a giveaway to raise brand awareness. So national dress Day on March 6, and then March 6 is also National Frozen Food Day, which I’m not usually a big fan of frozen food, unless it’s from Trader Joe’s. So Trader Joe’s, if you’re listening, yes, you should be celebrating National Frozen Food Day because your frozen foods are amazing. Okay.

Vira: 12:15

And you should be sponsoring our podcast, too. And you should sponsor our podcast. Yes, please.

Alissa: 12:19

And also sponsor my life, because I literally only shop at your Store anyways, sponsor Alissa’s Life.

Vira: 12:24

That’s so true. Like every Friday when we have like a meeting with a team, Alissa brags about like new cookies she tried from Trader’s job. That’s like your thing, Alissa. And I’m like, I love it. I love it about you because I always know the next thing on my list that I need to buy from traders. John, next time in the States.

Alissa: 12:42

Yeah, next time at trader Jones.

Vira: 12:45

Yeah. March 8th, you guys isn’t an important holiday. We already mentioned it, but it’s like, I’d say it’s like one of the biggest holidays in March. It’s an international Women’s Day. And fun fact, it’s been noted that 88% of women say that promotions like motivate them to either subscribe or purchase from a brand. So if, if your email has a promotion or if your pop up has a promotion, 88% of women would feel motivated to be on your list compared to only 70% of men. So I guess sometimes men are more rational and I don’t know, it’s just, it’s just the numbers. But whatever, do whatever you want with this information again. But yeah, so sales are great, but on International Women’s Day there are like so many things you can, you can actually do. You can go so much beyond Women’s Day special deal and like pretty pink emails. So this is the day when we celebrate women, like all kind of women, famous one, not famous one, successful ones, celebrities, women who change the history, women from the story so you can create your content around that topic as well. I really like this email from one brand. I honestly, I don’t remember the name of the brand but I screenshotted it for myself. Like last year the email called Women who inspire us and they basically for the International Women’s Day and every day they mentioned some of the amazing women around the glob who inspired them to follow their dreams. And that email included like famous women who changed the history, but also some of the customers of that brand whose stories are also like very powerful or very touching. So this is your chance to share some of the stories of your brand’s clients as well. So yeah, just like be creative and for women’s fashion brand, you would think that that would be like the number one candidate for like a big promotion. But in fact last year I also received this really cool email from one fashion brand. And the email really talked about all of the amazing women who changed the history of the fashion. So instead of just like doing a good old Promotion. I have nothing against promotions, but I just. I just believe that the content can also be fun and can also be educational. And that email was, like, really, really interesting for me to see. First of all, visually, it was beautiful with those, like, black and white old pictures of women, but also, like, fun facts about. About women. Like, did you, for example, know that actually the first person who invented the sewing machine was the woman? Or different, like, fun facts about Coco Chanel, who did all these amazing things in fashion? So, yeah, definitely, definitely do something for Women’s Day March 8, but don’t limit yourself to pretty pink designs or promotions. There’s, like, so much more you can do on this day. But also, March 10th is another awesome holiday, and it’s quite literally awesome holiday because it’s an international day of awesomeness. So be awesome on this day. Talk about your awesome product or about your awesome clients. Actually, fun fact, when I first started, like, learning English, I was, like, sure that this word is pronounced evasive. And I was like, oh, it’s evasive. Because, like, that’s how you spell it. And my friend, like, to this day, my friend, like, laughs at me, and she. She calls me her evasive friend. I’m like, you are the evasive friend.

Alissa: 16:18

Oh, my gosh, Vira, I’m gonna use that forever.

Vira: 16:21

English is. English is, like, so confusing. You guys spell thing one way, but then, like, read them different way, you people. So International Day of evasiveness or awesomeness. Whatever. Whatever you prefer. Yeah, March 10th. But March 14th is actually a big holiday for Flowium there, as Alissa already mentioned, because it’s a national napping day. And that’s actually the first thing I, like, woke up today with a thought that I. That all I want to do is take a nap. That’s, like, a terrible thing to wake up with. But, like, after this podcast, I’m definitely taking the nap, even though it’s not March 14th yet.

Alissa: 17:00

Yeah, it’s hard. Henry’s actually taking a nap right now, and I’m like, oh, what it is to be a baby, huh?

Vira: 17:05

He’s a sponsor for our podcast today, actually, Henry. He’s inviting Alissa to record. To record a podcast. Yeah.

Alissa: 17:12

I still can’t get over Evasim. That’s, like, the best thing in the world, Vira. Oh, my gosh.

Vira: 17:17

Oh, gosh. I don’t know. I don’t know how I feel about it, but it’s amazing. I’m being real with you guys. I’m being real.

Alissa: 17:25

It’s amazing. Okay, next on the roster, as we have previously mentioned. March 17th, which is St. Patrick’s Day. And despite the Irish roots behind this holiday, it’s actually become one of the most popular holidays in the US I can think of a few reasons why, but it’s not typically thought of as a retail holiday. But the National Retail Federation actually estimated a total of over$5 billion in consumer spending on St. Patrick’s Day in 2021.

Vira: 17:55

Insane.

Alissa: 17:55

Which is really wild because it’s such like a. Sorry, no offense if you’re Irish, but it’s like kind of like one of those holidays where like people just made up a reason to like go out and party and dress in all green and like be crazy. But it’s wild that a lot of retailers and a lot of brands are actually, you know, like latching onto this and considering it like that’s a pretty major retail holiday, over$5 billion on the actual holiday. So it’s a lot to think of. And even if your store has literally nothing to do with Ireland, it’s also a really good time to run some holiday themed marketing campaigns. So a lot of E commerce stores, what they’re doing during St. Patrick’s Day or during their St. Patrick’s Day campaigns, because they’re doing it so much, you’ll probably need to spin or add a little Irish spin an Irish jig to what you’re doing for your St Patrick’s Day campaign and turn it into gold. Pun intended. So few things that you can do here. You can have a mystery sale, which this is a really cool one. You can basically tease your email subscribers by keeping the discount percentage a mystery, which makes them want to start the shopping process and use the code that you give them, which could be something like Lucky 22 at checkout. And then that way they’ll find out what the discount is. That’s a really fun one. Everyone loves a good mystery. You can also. Go ahead.

Vira: 19:11

It’s also a good one. Sorry, Alissa. I’ll just add really quickly. It’s also a good strategy to improve your click through rates.

Alissa: 19:17

Yep.

Vira: 19:18

Like when people don’t know what the code is or like what the discount they will get, they will naturally get curious and they will want to like click on that email no matter whether they want to purchase or not. But your goal as an email marketer is to, to bring the traffic to the website. Right. So sometimes all you need to do is just like create a little bit of enigma or like intrigue around it. So that’s, that’s a, that’s a fun little strategy to Try this. This, this St. Patrick’s Day for sure.

Alissa: 19:48

I like it. I like it a lot. It’s very mysterious. The other thing you can do is promote your social media so you can play around with the St. Patrick’s Day theme of luck. So you can say stuff like feeling lucky, which is interesting actually. Lucky brand jeans on like the zipper of the pants. Oh yeah, they write in the zipper of the pants, like lucky you, which is like, that’s kind of like, sorry, not to be like inappropriate or like kind of sexual. That’s kind of a sexual, like ha, ha ha. Lucky you. You’re zipping these pants.

Vira: 20:20

Yeah.

Alissa: 20:21

But it’s interesting, it’s funny. Like there’s a lot that you can do when you play on words, especially for St. Patrick’s Day because there’s so much stuff about luck anyways throughout the year. So you can just play into that even more during St. Patrick’s Day and then just add like the lucky four leaf clover. Include some rainbows, pots of gold, anything like that. And actually in the email that we are like talking from a brand called Freshly Picked. So they use the feeling lucky with the pot of gold and they actually don’t have a special sale in the email. Instead they just use two CTAs that lead subscribers to the brand’s Instagram where they can find clues that actually lead to prizes. So this is like if you don’t have time to do like a mystery coupon code, you probably won’t have time to do this because there’s a lot of thought that goes into different clues that lead subscribers to their own version of a pot of gold. But yeah, this is a really cool idea to sort of promote or use St. Patrick Patrick’s Day themed marketing in order to promote social media channels and then ultimately promote your brand. So that’s a really cool one.

Vira: 21:25

It’s like a scavenger hunt.

Alissa: 21:27

Yeah, that’s what I was trying to think of the word scavenger hunt.

Vira: 21:29

I like it a lot. Just as you said, like a lot of work and thinking would probably go into that one.

Alissa: 21:35

Huge amount of work. Huge amount of work. And then the last one is sending Irish blessings. This is really cute actually. So clean canteen. They actually did an Irish blessing in their email. So instead of going for the hearts sell, they opted in to embrace the spirit of the holiday, which is really cute.

Vira: 21:54

So fun.

Alissa: 21:54

So taking a break from always making a quick sale with your emails is much needed, I think a lot of the time because we get a lot of stuff that’s just driving sales down our throats as consumers. Right. But it also gives you a chance to build relationships with your customers, which is something we talk about so much on our podcast, but also so much here at Flowium, too. And in the long run, it’s a lot more beneficial than just a discount offer or just throwing coupon codes at your customers. So if you have time, this may be a little easier to do, a little less time. Insensitive. I guess it might be worth trying out your own limerick. Limerick. I never know how to properly pronounce this word, but limerick. I think it’s limerick. Vira, do you know?

Vira: 22:38

Yep. I think it is. I think you’re right.

Alissa: 22:40

It’s limerick. Okay. See, Vira knows more than I do about English.

Vira: 22:44

Like, no. Some word, some weird.

Alissa: 22:47

She’s like, I just know a couple of weird words.

Vira: 22:49

Yeah.

Alissa: 22:50

So this one’s really cute. From Clean Can Canteen. So they say, may your pint be full of gold.

Vira: 22:56

Alissa do it with your best Irish accent.

Alissa: 22:58

Oh, my gosh. This is so embarrassing. So I used to have, like, kind of an Irish accent. Not it was, like, half Irish, half, like, English accent. Because I lived in England for five years. One of my best friends was Irish, and I spent all my time with her. So, like, eventually I started to take on her accent, but I cannot do an Irish accent now. Okay, I’ll try it. Oh, my gosh. I’m, like, getting red in the face. No one’s here in the room with me. You guys are just hearing my awful Irish accent. Here we go. May your pint be full of gold and your drinks stay hot or cold. No cups to the trash from the. No. Now I’m, like, doing Southern accent. I’m done. Nor plastic bottles to the sea. If you choose to live clean, we can change the scene. Clean scene. The scene.

Vira: 23:43

Yeah.

Alissa: 23:44

Irish blessing. And then in parentheses, it says. Okay, we may have edited it a little.

Vira: 23:49

I love it. And for those of you who don’t know the Clean Canteen, these are the. The brand. This is the brand who are selling the dispo. Not disposable, reusable bottles, cups, like, different canisters and stuff like that. So that’s why this Irish Blessings makes total sense when you know what. What the brand is selling. But that’s. That’s kind of cute. And when you read it, Alissa, I thought about one of our copywriters who’s, like, really good with, like, creating those, like, short poems and stuff. I really shout out to you. She’s amazing.

Alissa: 24:19

Oh, my gosh. She’s amazing.

Vira: 24:22

I Feel like she on this challenge, if we, like.

Alissa: 24:26

Hardcore, she would be incredible at it. She would. She did like a Twas the Night Before Christmas, like, play on the. On that song, poem, nursery rhyme, whatever you want to call it for one of our brands. And it was perfect. It was so cute. She did an amazing job.

Vira: 24:41

Yeah.

Alissa: 24:41

Yeah, it was really good. Really, really good. Cool. I love it. Yeah.

Vira: 24:44

But we do have a lot of other holidays, not just the St. Patrick’s one in March as well. Another big holidays that is celebrated mostly in, like, India and Hindu cultures is Hol Holly, also known as the festival of colors. But honestly, it’s, like, celebrated not just in that part of the world. I see all the time, like, people celebrating it in North America just because it’s, like, so fun and the. And sort of like, the idea behind the holiday is really cool. This is like a festival of love and lights. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the transition from winter to spring. So really fun way to, like, welcome spring. And to celebrate, people are throwing different colors on each other. You know, this, like, colorful powders. And they have, like, parties and stuff. And a lot of brands are actually, are actually, like, creating social media and email marketing campaigns around it. So it’s just like with Lunar New Year. This holiday is fun and it is celebrated not just in, like, Hindu cultures anymore. I really liked what McDonald’s did, like, a few years ago, and don’t even ask me why I’m subscribed to, like, McDonald’s emails. It’s embarrassing. But I do like McDonald’s. I think their fries are the best. Honestly. Convince me. Convince me.

Alissa: 25:56

Otherwise, I’m convincing you.

Vira: 25:57

That’s the case for me. Like, McDonald’s and Costco are, like, pretty. Pretty close together, but I still think that McDonald’s is, like, number one. Yeah. So McDonald’s did this, like, really cool campaign. Like, visually, it was very, like, beautiful. So there was like, a person wearing red McDonald’s T shirt with, like, the yellow arches M and eating the hamburger. And then like, the sauce, the bright orange sauce, or like the hot sauce is like dripping on the. On the T shirt. And that image is, like, super colorful. And the caption was like, this is our kind of holiday. Try to celebrate yours whatever you you like. But this is, like, this is our way. After playing it to your way. That’s what they said. So I really liked it. I really liked it. That’s cool.

I like that a lot.

Vira: 26:43

And right after the Holly on March 20, it’s an international day of happiness. And honestly, there are like so many ways to celebrate this day, right? To celebrate you can kick off some happy discounts and ask your audience to share some maybe like cheerful stories with you in exchange for a discount or something like that. There’s like so many things to celebrate it, but also you can maybe do a random act of kindness as a brand. Maybe you can donate to the charity or help one of your customers or tell one of your customers story. Or maybe you can show the gratitude to people that you love or that you work with. Or maybe you can even send a survey asking something like how happy are you with our brand? Or how happy are you with our products? Honestly, so many ways to celebrate International Day of Happiness and I feel like this is the good one. A lot of brands can use it in their email marketing strategy for sure.

Alissa: 27:33

I love it. Love it. So other March 20th holidays first day of spring that so this date actually marks the first day of astronomical spring in the Northern hemisphere. So if you’re listening and you’re in the southern hemisphere, this is probably the first day of fall for you. Yeah, I go with the first day of spring. You can cheer up your sun deprived customers with a Not if they live in Florida, but that’s another story. And this is also a really good opportunity to draw your attention to seasonal products. So if you’re a fashion brand and you’re launching a new spring line, great time to do that. Yeah, spring is just a really good time as well to clean up your own email list of inactive subscribers with some re engagement opportunities because everyone loves some good spring cleaning. So you can also do a campaign around spring break which is a really big deal especially here in the US So as soon as warmer temperatures temperatures hit, people love hitting the road and exploring new places, especially the beach. And you don’t have to run a travel centric brand so that you can take advantage of that. So there is a brand email that we have here that is really cool because they just it’s for fossil. They put together a list of travel must haves. The email is super simple. It’s really nice. It’s just got a few images and just one button to click for more information which is cool. You can keep it straight, clean and simple. You can also again like I mentioned, launch your warmer weather products if you’re a fashion brand and then also spring cleaning again by sending out re engagement campaigns to your inactive subscribers you can clean up your lists. So making sure that you’re giving people the opportunity to update their email preferences on how they hear from your brand. And then also you can also for supplement brands talk about allergies too. So promoting allergies, allergy and immune boosting supplements, which is really great. And then the other thing about March 20th is this is really important. It’s also National Ravioli Day, which is crucial for our existence. I don’t know anyone who can live without ravioli. There’s actually a mushroom ravioli at Trader Joe’s that I buy all the time. If you haven’t purchased it, you should try it.

Vira: 30:12

And actually it feels like we’ve been sponsored by them. It literally feels like we’ve been sponsored by traders just because I know so much about them.

Alissa: 30:22

It’s funny as well because most of our listeners are not in the US they’re like all over the world. So people are probably like, trader who? Who is Joe and why is he such a trader? Yeah, it’s Trader T R A D E R. Great, great grocery store. But 87% of Americans like ravioli. That’s like not a small. Pretty much like everyone. Pretty much just an FYI to everybody. And if you’re in Italy and you’re listening, we love the ravioli that you’ve created for us. So thank you very much. And yeah, that’s March 20th.

Vira: 30:53

That’s a big one. Thank you for mentioning that one, Alissa. Very important. National Ravioli Day, March 22 though is actually a pretty big deal in marketing, specifically in email marketing. It’s the World Water Day and unfortunately not everybody in the world has advantage of having clean water. Right. But several brands and organization, they are actually calling attention to that problem on March 22, the World Water Day. So there are a ton of ways you can celebrate this day. First of all, you can of course rate raise the money and awareness on World Watergate. You can educate one shoes brand that I’m following on Instagram. This is an Instagram post. But I’m sure they probably send something like this in the email as well. They just share the fun facts. Like, did you know that processing leather requires a large amount of water, 90% of which is released back in our waterways and harmful as harmful liquid waste. Vito elevator shoes are made of 100% PETA approved or PETA approved acrylic leather, vegan leather. Then why encourage the water waste if you can like sort of like you do or use the vegan shoes, whatever. I mean it’s just, it’s just an example of how you can like educate about your products and also at the same time encourage some smart water usage. As well. You can also donate on this day and raise money for some organizations that you support. That’s a big one as well. But also if your brand is some somehow connected to like a smart water consumption, if say you have, I don’t know, like a green green factory that uses less water than like similar factories, do, definitely brag about it. That’s like a big deal to, to talk about. So, yeah, celebrate World water Day on March 22. But also don’t forget to celebrate National Puppy Day, which is also on March 22. And naturally, pet brands have easy connection to National Puppy Day, right? And our coworker Olga too, because she has three puppies. She just like adopted two of them. She brought them from Ukraine. So again, shout out to Olga. She like, honestly spent like so much time and efforts to bring those two puppies from Ukraine and to give them their American dream. They are super cute. They’ve been on our last team call, so. Oh my gosh, I haven’t seen it. They are so cute. The boy and a girl. So, yeah, if you are in the pet industry, definitely mention the national puppy day again, March 22nd. And actually I really what Petsmart does every year on the National Puppy Day, every year they are giving away a year’s worth of dog food for like a photo. So they run like a contest among their customers. Basically everyone loves posting the picture of their puppy, right? But you can post the picture of your puppy with the hashtag National Puppy Day or something and then you will be put into the drawings and then you can win a year’s worth of dog food. I think it’s a pretty cool way to celebrate. It’s a good awareness, good awareness for the brand, but also a really fun way to engage your community. But actually not just pet brands and animal brands are getting on the fuzziness, right. A lot of like, even, even some government agency. Yeah, I’m talking about Canada here. They are doing like Instagram posts and like emails around like puppy content. Because again, everyone loves puppies, right? So National Puppy Day is definitely a big one to celebrate. And if you are not in a mood to celebrate a National Puppy Day or World water Day on March 22, you also have a national chip and dip date. So that’s another good one. If you are in a food business or even if you’re just in any business, actually, everyone loves chips, I feel like.

Alissa: 34:40

So, yeah, everyone loves chips. Everybody have chips? Yeah. Okay. And then to wrap this up, March 27th is Oscar Sunday. So the Academy Awards ceremony, it’s one of the biggest events in the film industry. Make sure that you use hashtag Oscars 2022 to talk about movies with your followers on social media or share comments about the show to help you grow brand awareness. And then March 30th is National Doctor’s Day here in the US which is always a really cool one just to thank all of our doctors that we have that do first of all studied like their butts off to get to where they are but then also just work really hard to keep us all safe and keep us all healthy. So yeah, that is is your March 2022 wrap up for your campaigns.
