Vira: 0:40

Hello. Hello everyone, and welcome back to Email Einstein podcast by Flowium. My name is Vira Sadlak, I’m your host and today I’m joined by Uzair, project manager from Flowium, who you’ve actually met a few episodes ago. Say hi Uzair.

Uzair: 0:57

Hi guys. I’m back again.

Vira: 1:00

We are happy to have you back. Honestly, those content idea podcasts, they’re not the same without you. So I’m, I’m, I’m, I’m super happy. I’m super happy you managed to, to join. Yeah. So today, Uzair, we’ll be talking about all of the amazing and not so amazing July holidays. What are your plans for July by the way? Do you have anything excited?

Uzair: 1:22

Yeah, just, you know, drinking as many cold drinks as possible. Right. Like as many, you know, ice caps for Americans. That’s what we call an ice cappuccino with Tim Orange that we have here. Better than Dunkin Donuts in my opinion. But you know, we won’t go there. But yeah, just you know, enjoying the sunshine, drinking some cool drinks and just, you know, enjoying the warmer weather. I think that’s the priority for this month.

Vira: 1:43

Oh yeah, no, for sure. July is very exciting months with like longer days and much needed vacation time and like warm weather and like those cold dreams and Slurpees that we will talk about a bit later. But actually June and July are considered one of the slower months in e commerce industry unless you’re selling like summer supplies like pool floaties or swimsuits and et cetera. Normally June, July, they are one of your slowest months. That’s why we need like that extra creativity and extra inspo during this time. So yeah. So let’s take a look at some of the holidays and sales opportunities coming up to build out that like creative campaigns that will actually engage your summer shoppers. So summer is not canceled unlike few previous years. So the summer is very much here and the first holiday of the summer personally is like one of my favorite. Uzair, tell us about July 1st.

Uzair: 2:41

You know what, like as, as Vira was saying, you know, a lot of good holidays, a lot of bad holidays. So the first one is going to be a mix, right? So the good thing is it’s going to be Canada Day. So I know you guys have July 4th and all that, but you know what, Canada comes one and that’s why we took the first SP. So, yeah, it’s a, it’s a really, it’s a really good way. I know we have a lot of fireworks and everything like that. So it’s really exciting just because back in, you know, July of 1867, Canada, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, you know, they all came together to become one country. And so ever since then, Canadians have celebrated Canada Day for that. And so a lot of, you know, a lot of, you know, what bring a lot of themes that kind of tie into Canada Day is, you know, our flag colors like red and white. So, you know, some brands, they tend to do like red and white sales where they’ll, you know, put products that are those colors on sale and things like that. Whereas other companies, they might try to do like a candidate contest and things like that where they’ll have people sign up to kind of, you know, win either a coupon, a product and things like that, or even just offering, instead of offering products, just offering free shipping for people who are based in Canada to kind of really segment their audience and really make them feel celebrated and special, essentially. And then, you know, speaking of that, you know, there’s also July 1st is also international Joke Day. So that’s where we, you know, that’s a joke in itself is just that they had to choose. I’m pretty sure an American came up with this one for sure.

Vira: 4:00

American thing for sure.

Uzair: 4:02

That they decided to put International Joke Day on the same day as Canada Day. We’re not a joke. It’s a separate holiday.

Vira: 4:08

Are we a joke for you guys? No, we’re not.

Uzair: 4:11

Like I said 1867, we did it first, right? So it’s really, it’s really nice that, you know, kind of have that and following up with Canada Day and this is something that I learned really recently is that apparently July 2nd is I forgot day, which I find hilarious because, you know, in case, you know, you forgot it was Canada Day or if you forgot it was joke day, I think one of the, one of the best, the TIE INS for July 2nd is, you know, when it comes to our abandoned cards or, you know, our abandoned checkouts, you know, people who have forgotten to check out, we can really kind of tie in with, you know, forgot something. There’s a day for that and that day is today. So I think that’s fun. It’s a really unique day to kind of put into our marketing scheme there.

Vira: 4:49

Oh, that’s so much fun. I didn’t realize it was a forget something day. Yeah, I know for sure. Abandoned card is forgetting about it.

Uzair: 4:55

You know what?

Vira: 4:56

Yeah, we did. We did forget about it. Okay, cool. Let’s go to July 4th, US Independence Days. Firework, barbecues, pool parties and picnics. All that we’ve already done on July 1st in Canada. You know, you guys are doing it on July 4th and July 4th is just like around the corner. So you can start preparing for it obviously now. And if your products are in some way related to food or maybe like drinks or like cookware or glassware, recipe kits, snacks and stuff like that, it definitely makes sense to send those campaigns in advance so people can get those like, products just in time for their fourth of July party. And yeah, I like what, who was it? Crate and Barrel? I think they did send this email like last year prior to 4th of July and it said like, celebrate with this season’s hottest kitchen deals, yummy summer recipes and more. So they not just shared the kitchen, like utensils on sale and stuff like that, but they also shared some recipes that you can Prepare for the 4th of July party. And. Yeah. And you can use their products to sort of like create those recipes. So I, I like when brands are doing a bit of a work in advanced, so it’s very, like, timely, you know. Yeah. And I particularly like when the copy is not all sell, sell, sell. You know, when they provide some sort of like other value to their customers as well. Like.

Uzair: 6:24

Yeah, like getting some information out of them and stuff like that. It’s really nice to have like a tutorial and things like that and some emails for sure.

Vira: 6:30

Oh, yeah, and we were just actually. That’s funny because we actually had a presentation with our coworker Amara, the guest on this podcast as well. And she worked in like Pampered Chef for like years. And she was like the one giving those like master classes and those like tutorials and stuff like that. And we got to watch one of her tutorials, which was very, very fun and entertaining. And shout out to Amara.

Uzair: 6:54

It looks delicious. That’s all. I’m going to say that like today’s call, if it is the first time I’ve gotten hungry during a meeting. So I think it look delicious.

Vira: 7:03

Definitely shout out to her. Yeah. And again, that approach don’t just like, sell, sell, sell, Provide some value, provide some like, interesting content, entertaining content or maybe like Even inspirational content. So email is not just for promotions, but of course you can launch a limited time promotion as well on Independence Day. It’s kind of like unofficial start of the summer, start of the real summer in Northern hemisphere. So it’s perfect time to launch a sale maybe for your like summer products or if you have like a summer merch or some blue and white and red products and stuff like that. Definitely do some sort of like promotion because people kind of expect the 4th of July deals from you now it’s like a halfway to Black Friday Cyber Monday. And this is, I would say this is like one of the biggest sales months of the. I mean not the sales months but sales events of the. Of the year. Especially if you are in that industry that are selling like summer products. Yeah. So you can definitely engage your audience with some seasonal messaging. It’s Independence Day isn’t an obvious present giving holiday, but people still like sometimes buy things for their loved ones as a gift sort of for, for the fourth of July. So maybe that’s an end goal you can talk about as well. And yeah, and of course if your brand is from, from us, you can do the Born in USA campaigns which always for some reason work really well. Every time I highlight that like fact that the product is made in usa, the campaign brings like so much revenue. Apparently Americans have this like special sense. Right?

Uzair: 8:37

Yeah. Their country. So I think it’s. And again that’s what it’s all about. Right. So I think 100% it’s a great tie in.

Vira: 8:44

Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. But also one fun email that you can do but it will require a bit more like coding on your end or the use of the app like Stripo. You can do this email where you can share some like fun facts about for example like us like what city served as national first capital and stuff like that. But you can also made it into a quiz when the customer actually clicks on the image and they. And the answer is like revealed to them them. So you can like gamify those emails but it will require a lot of extra coding or the use of third party app like Stripo. And that’s. I mentioned it because we are trying to get Stripo on our email podcast. So hopefully they’re going to be, they’re going to be our guests someday and we can ask them all these questions about like how to gamify the entire email marketing strategy. Right. And of course my favorite one is add some humor because I mean we all love a good fourth of July joke. So if you need an inspiration, go to brands like results. Go to brands like Chubby’s. Go to, I don’t know, like old spies, M and M’s. These guys are always doing an amazing job with their copy and with the vibe of their, of their emails. So yeah, just be creative with your fourth of July and remember that we had our holiday first, so try not to be copycats. We already had it on July 1.

Uzair: 10:15

Exactly. The thing is, I think just with the stars and stripes, like it’s such a good way to kind of implement those into the design as well. Like even just the stars alone to really make it pop. I think, I think that’s like a really good way to kind of, you know, change up your design a bit, make it a bit spicier, if that makes sense. But yeah. So that brings us to one of my favorite holidays. So apparently July 8th is actually be a Kid Again day. So, you know, if you ever need a day, you know, kick your feet up, have a bowl of sugar cereal and watch some cartoons. Right. I think, you know, that’s, I’m going to pretend that’s not me every weekend. But yeah, no, if there’s a, if there’s a day to specifically do that, it’s July 8th. So, you know, it falls on a Friday this year. So, you know, I think if you ever need a day to really, you know, catch up with those Dexter and a secret laboratory cartoons or Curves the Cowardly Dog to name a few, it’s, that’s the perfect day. And if, you know, if July 8th sounds good to you, wait until you hear about July 11th. Because July 11th, you know, is both, you know, National Mojito Day and also Swimming Pool Day. So both of those together sound like the most refreshing campaign day that I’ve heard of. Right. So it’s, it’s both which are really great opportunities, right, to create like a more content based campaign. So, you know, you know, we have retailers that sell alcohol or kitchen good brands. You know, they can send out an email or even an sms, you know, featuring, you know, a recipe to make a really delicious mojito or just recommending products to use. And then when it comes to, you know, the swimming pool day, you know, you can write up a blog on swimming pool safety or, you know, sunscreen and all that, like safety, the sun, safety tips and things like that to share with your audience and you know, basically depending on if it’s the right niche, these are natural touch points to kind of touch on, to leverage your base, you know, with The. With the subscriber base now, you know, if, you know, you don’t drink alcohol or you’re not into mojitos, guess what? We got a solution for you too. Because July 11 is also free Slurpee day, because it turns out to be 7 11. So hit up your nearest 7 11. I’m not too sure how they do it. I think there’s an app involved, but you’re able to get a free, small Slurpee in whatever flavor you want. So I think, you know, regardless, July 11th is going to be one of those really relaxing cold beverage days that I’m looking forward to this month.

Vira: 12:26

Oh, that’s so funny. How much does it cost? The Slurpee? It’s like, it’s inexpensive, right? It’s like one to two bucks or something for.

Uzair: 12:33

It mind you, it’s basically all sugar.

Vira: 12:37

So pretty much it’s like a snow with sugar. That’s how Amera explained it to me. I was like, what is Slurpee? She’s like, well, it’s like a snow with syrup. And I’m like, okay, that’s. That’s pretty accurate, right?

Uzair: 12:49

Like a snowball put in a cup and then putting some flavor on top of it, and you got yourself a Slurpee right there.

Vira: 12:54

Or like, you mix all of the flavors. There is a name for it. I forgot the name. Is it like a heart attack drink or something? They have a name for it. Like, you literally mix all of the flavors together.

Uzair: 13:05

It’s diabetes in a cup. Right?

Vira: 13:07

So pretty much. Pretty much, yes. And it does look like American flag a bit, because it has a bit of a blue and red and white. Maybe that’s a recipe you can promote on your 4th of July as well. Yeah, I know. It’s disgusting. I know. There are some people who love it. There are some people who are very, like, sentimental about this drink, and probably it comes from their childhood. But I just, like, I can’t. I can’t. I just. Just imagine the amount of sugar that you get in that, like, one liter cup. And I’m like, nope, nope. Thank you. Give me my coffee. I’m good.

Uzair: 13:38

Water at that point.

Vira: 13:40

I know. Right?

Uzair: 13:41

Sorry. Right, yeah, No, I get it.

Vira: 13:43

Yeah. Cool. Well, July 12th this year is going to be Amazon Prime Day. And Amazon does not announce the day until the very last minute. Or pretty much. We just learned about it a few days ago. So July 12th is going to be your Amazon Prime Day. It’s pretty much have been informally correct. Joined the Black Friday of the summer. And last year it grossed$11 billion and yeah,$11 billion that day on Amazon. Yeah, yeah, that’s a lot of money if you ask me. But that’s like, makes it a great opportunity to leverage this like entire buzz, right? You can run a Prime Day themed email campaign with a flash sale, messaging. Maybe you can even like style it as an Amazon page or if you have an Amazon listing, an actual Amazon listing, you can send your traffic there. And that’s not something that we normally do but there are some brands for whom like selling their products on Amazon or like fulfilling their products on Amazon is actually cheaper than fulfilling their products themselves. So that’s why they make like more money on like Amazon. If you send your traffic to Amazon you will not be able to track the conversion unless you create those like special kind of links. It will not be as accurate as Klaviyo obviously. But for the Amazon Prime Day I think it’s a great opportunity to mention to your customers that hey, we’re on Amazon as well. And I really like what RX Bar did a few years ago. They sent this like very simple text only message that said it’s Amazon Prime Day. They have an extremely low price. We can’t beat it. Click here if you want it. Rxbar. That’s all they’ve sent. Like no images, no nothing. But that’s actually funny because I mean they say like they have an extremely low prices when basically Amazon is like a marketplace and this listing is like still your listing. But they make it sound like oh, okay, so we cannot beat like Amazon prices. So like go to Amazon and buy it. So yeah, I like how they worded it. And if you are on Amazon, definitely, definitely send something on July 12th, Amazon Prime Day. You can even do the Amazon exclusive deals. I know some of my customers will be promoting their Amazon subscribe and Save program where they are giving the first month of the subscription with like 50% off which is a very, very generous discount considering that subscribe and Save is already like a discounted product. So yeah, definitely talk about Amazon prime on July 12th.

Uzair: 16:15

Sounds good. I think. Yeah, that’s a really clever way. I think it builds like customer like customer building as well. Right. You’re letting them know that listen, here’s a better deal. And so I think a lot of customers will be surprised by that and I think it’ll be have a really positive reaction on your customer base just because like ah, they’re looking out for us. So that’s, that’s, that’s a really unique way to do it speaking of, you know, giving things away, July 15th is actually give Something Away Day. So this is like a fun holiday that was created to help bring the spirit of giving into the summertime. Right. You know, usually in the colder months we have Christmas. We have those kind of months where it’s all about, you know, community and everything. So this is a way to kind of do something similar. But in the summertime. So if you work in retail, for example, or other consumer based industries, the goal is to always try and sell more items and get people interested in taking your products home. So that’s why on Give Something Away Day, there’s always an extra opportunity to invite customers to buy gifts for others. Right? So like, it’s a really good way to, you know, really have multiple, you know, customer bases interact and just kind of have something for everyone. So, you know, like, if I see something that my mom likes, you know, it’s not really targeted towards me. This is a great opportunity for, for that company to, you know, position that towards us to kind of think about others and give those things away. So I think that’s a really unique holiday. And then another angle that we can like kind of focus on in the act of is like the act of giving things away. Right? So a lot of like home organ professionals who practice the Konmari method, they tend to do this. The food banks that are seeking donations for their pantry and even shelters who are starting to stock up on like winter items, these are all like a great opportunity for them to promote themselves. And you know, one of those ways would be using hashtags or even trending conversations are great ways to get that messaging out there and to connect with those new audiences, right?

Vira: 17:58

Yeah. No, and like even running like a company wide giveaway or like donating the portion of the proceeds from your sale to some, like to some good deed or like a good organization or something like that, that’s a good day to, to be a good person, right?

Uzair: 18:13

Exactly. Give a little freebie on the side, you know, like.

Vira: 18:17

Free, free merch or something. Actually with one of my clients we have this like strategy now when we are moving away from discount codes for people who are your like VIPs. And that’s almost sounds like a counterintuitive approach. But they don’t want to like discount products to people who would buy your product with or without the discount. So instead of like discount we’re giving them like some sort of like merch or freebie or like access to early promotions or like stuff like that. Obviously we would still do, like, the big promotions, like Black Friday or fourth of July, but on a regular basis, we try to, like, move away from those promotions and give some sort of, like, other value instead.

Uzair: 18:57

That’s amazing. We’re gonna have to implement that on some of our other clients. That’s a really cool way to do it.

Vira: 19:02

Yeah, yeah. July 17th. Love it or hate it, but it’s a World Emoji Day. I know some people love them, some people don’t, but I. Let’s be honest. We all use them. We all use them. What’s. What’s your most used emoji?

Uzair: 19:14

It’s the crying Laughing Face. I think that’s kind of what I mean.

Vira: 19:17

The thing is, if you.

Uzair: 19:18

If you text or message without emojis and you’re using proper pronunciation, like, for example, my wife will message, like, in the beginning of our relationship, she used to message me, like, with proper pronunciation and periods at the end of every message. And in my head I’m thinking, what have I done? Like, am I in trouble? Like, what’s going on? Right. So I think you have to kind of throw in those emojis there to kind of lighten up the mood and let them know that everything is okay. There’s no fire going on at home. So, yeah, I’m an avid user of emojis.

Vira: 19:44

Yeah. Crying Laughing Face is like a classic. We all use it. We all love it. And actually, the World Emoji Day is celebrated annually since 2014. It’s like a global celebration of emojis. And a lot of brands are doing, like, a lot of fun things. I know some brands, like Victoria’s Secrets, they are launching their own set of customized emojis, which is awesome because it’s just, like, gives that extra reminder about the brand every time you are using it. But I also love how some brands are using them to gamify their emails. So there is this, like, publishing house, Penguin Publishing. I think they’re, like, one of the biggest publishing houses in the world. And in honor of world. Yeah, yeah. You probably, like, own some of their books at home.

Uzair: 20:27

You guys, they’re always on the inside. They had a little penguin dude at the back of their box.

Vira: 20:30

Penguin. Yes. Yes. Gosh. Like, we’ve seen this little guy ever since we were kids because, like, they are everywhere, but they basically work with, like, the biggest names in the industry. I think they were the one to publish, like, Game of Trons, like, back in the day, all this big, big names and stuff like that. And in honor of World Emoji day they actually translated some of their most beloved books into emoji form. Not the entire books, but just like the titles of the book. And they ask like, can you guess the book based on the emoji plots below? Which I think it was very like, smart. So there is this like little, this little line of emojis with like a girl face, then plane, then pasta, then like those like pray hands and the heart. And I was like, like.

Uzair: 21:21

I’m trying to figure out what. Okay, so again, so like Italy and then praise. I don’t know.

Vira: 21:28

Yeah, that’s actually, that’s very accurate. So the girl is actually flying to Italy. So basically it’s like the love, Love, eat or like the one with Julia Roberts. Gosh, Love. Pray, eat, Pray, eat. Love or something.

Uzair: 21:41

Here’s the thing though, right? Like those prayer hands, I always thought that was a high five. So I’m still, I’m still pretty. I use that as a high five emoji. So now I’ just thinking every time I’ve ever used those, the people that received them, are they thinking I’m praying for them? Because I’m just trying to get.

Vira: 21:56

So you were thinking that people were like high fiving like the terrorist attacks when they were like using this like emojis? No, it’s like a praying emoji. Although it does look like a high five. Now when I’m like looking at does look.

Uzair: 22:40

Like that’s like lol, people thinking LOL stood for lots of love. And then you know, like I remember there was this one, right? Like it was like grandma died lol. And it’s like, wait, what do you mean like lots of love? Yep.

Vira: 22:54

Yeah, they can be a bit misleading. So be careful with emojis, but definitely have some fun. Yeah, we did it with one of my customers last year as well. In honor of World Emoji Day, we translated I think it was like famous TV shows into like emoji form and people were like guessing them and stuff like that. And again, you can like gamify this email as well. When you’re using apps like Stripe or something, you can actually make that like I can turn to reveal the correct answer or you can have all of the correct answers at the bottom of the email in the footer. Or you can ask your customers to message you for the correct answer. It will be a lot of like manual work on your end. But at the same time, every time someone like is reaching out to you through your emails, your deliverability score improves. Because apparently the email marketing email systems they think that you’re a legit sender if people actually reply to your email and not just, like, open. So there’s, like, a lot of ways to be creative with it. No, that’s.

Uzair: 23:56

That’s amazing. That’s amazing. See, all that talk is just, you know, made me again, hungry again. And that leads us to our next one. So I’m telling you, July is my month of, you know, eating cold things, whether it’s, you know, Slurpees or ice cream, which is what July 17th is all about, because that’s apparently ice cream day. So, you know, I think it’s befitting that, you know, one of the hottest months, you know, the warmest, the sunniest, has ice cream day in it. I think it’s better now than, you know, in December. But I’m one of those people that eats ice cream all year long. So regardless, I would be celebrating whenever it would be. But, you know, so on July 11th, get your Slurpee, and then on July 17th, get your ice cream and get the. To help you battle that hot weather. And then after that, July 20th is actually national Hot Dog Day. So, again, keeping up with, you know, the theme of, like, backyard barbecues and, you know, get togethers and hanging out with friends and family, I think this is really spot on, right? And then, so, you know, what is one thing that I found that, you know, I think Vira actually let me know, and this is something that I want to get on everyone’s list is that, hey, Hanes, they’ve actually started a petition because, you know, when it comes, you know, when you go to these. When we go to the, you know, the grocery store to get ready for a barbecue, you know, we grab hot dog buns, we got burger buns, hot dogs, patties, all that fun stuff, right? But we’ve always had one issue, right? Is what when we buy hot dogs, right? And then when we buy their buns, the hot dogs will come in packs of ten, but hot dog buns only come in packs of eight, right? So at the end of the day, like, what are we supposed to do with those extra two hot dogs, right? Like, we have to, you know, go out and buy two packs of buns. And then if. Then what are we supposed to do with extra. With those extra buns at the end of the day? So I think this is. This is something that should have been done a long time ago. This should, like, again, kudos to them, kudos to Hanes and wonder, you know, the people that are behind the buns for Coming up with this campaign to make it even, make it easier for us, because whoever put this standard in place was undeniably sadistic. They’re the same people who put, you know, national joke day on July 1st. I’m pretty sure it’s that same person created either. So. Yeah, like, again, like. So I think in Ontario, you know, the Hanes hot dog pack and 10 packs of buns will be available starting June 23rd.

Vira: 26:01

Yeah. So basically everyone else as of yesterday, I think, in some locations. Right. So today is like June 24th, when we’re recording this. So probably some of you in Ontario can already experience the greatness of.

Uzair: 26:14

Exactly.

Vira: 26:14

Bundle.

Uzair: 26:15

This is what happens when we get the public rally together. Exactly.

Vira: 26:18

And we were not paid by Heinz, by the way. We were not like, sponsored concert. We’re not affiliated, but I applaud them.

Uzair: 26:24

But again, this is a problem that we’ve all had at one point or another. So 100% now, you know, after you’ve had ice cream on July 17, hot dogs a lot on July 20, you know, we’re off to a really healthy start there. Obviously, July 21st is actually national Junk Food Day. So if, you know, you need a cheat day or you just want to have one day to yourself, to, you know, as we were talking about earlier, the potato chips and ketchup flavors and all that. If you want one day to be able to really, you know, get and get into. To really stuff your face potentially with all those delicious snacks, those. Because, again, the unhealthier it is, the tastier it is, in my opinion. You have a day for that as well.

Vira: 27:00

Oh, yeah. Well, now I want to go to Costco and get. And get a hot dog. Like, their hot dogs are, like, seriously the best. Have you had Costco hot dogs?

Uzair: 27:09

And again, hot dogs, like, Costco has the $1.50 combo, right?

Vira: 27:13

Like $1.50. I know.

Uzair: 27:15

Like, we’re not. You only you just get one thing. They. They got something for you to drink as well. And they’ve had that for the longest time. And that’s not something.

Vira: 27:22

Yeah, I saw this man, where they were like, oh, Costco hot dog is the most stable coin in the world. You know, bitcoin craziness and everything. Some things need to stay stable.

Uzair: 27:36

Exactly that. And you know those Amazon drinks that are like, the iced tea, is it like they’re 99 cents, 99 cents for so far. So 100%, yeah. Like, kudos to Costco for keeping it stable. Essentially.

Vira: 27:48

I’m going to go to Costco, like, right after we finish recording this podcast. I need my hot dog. And their fries.

Uzair: 27:55

Oh, come on.

Vira: 27:56

I think they don’t have fries in the States. I mean, the Costco fries, I just, like, I’ve been to Washington like a week ago, and I like, specifically stopped at Costco to get my hot dog. Their Costco is different. I mean, yeah, they are snacks and like in food and everything.

Uzair: 28:15

If you want fries, we’re here. We’re here for you. Just north of the border.

Vira: 28:19

North of the border. The best. The best fries. Yeah, and chips with ketchup too. We were talking to you about this, like, but I think Canada is the only country in the world who. Who has them.

Uzair: 28:30

No, I think so. It’s. It’s different. Yeah, I think it’s just something that only we have. And you’ll again, if you don’t think it tastes as good, don’t knock it till you try it. That’s. That’s my opinion on that. You gotta try it. Let us know what you think and then how many you were able to eat before, you know, your tongue gets cut up.

Vira: 28:48

For sure. You cannot have too many. But they’re good. They’re good. Okay, cool. July 21st is cousins day. I know it sounds random. Well, like, all of the holidays that we discussed in this email.

Uzair: 28:59

We had a 711 slurpee day. Come on. This is normal, considering.

Vira: 29:03

Yeah. This one comparatively normal. So cousins day. I mean, cousins. You can share your best cousins memes or like, cousins jokes. Because, like, I feel like the memes about. Or memes about cousins, it’s like the next level. I love those so much. Maybe because I can relate to them, to. To them so much because they have like a lot of cousins and we were like, really close growing up, but I think.

Uzair: 29:26

Yeah, no, I have a bunch of. And the thing is, like, in our, like, we have, like, I have a lot of aunts and uncles, so, like, I have cousins in the double digits and a lot of like. Yeah. So like, a lot of my friends, like, I’ve known them so long that I was genuinely concerned, like, convinced that they were my. Like, I have one friend, Abdullah. And like, our parents went to university together. They went to each other as well, weddings. So we’ve been friends since before birth. Right. And so I was convinced this guy was my cousin. And it took me a while to realize. Oh, and then just, you know, when you meet someone, like one of my. If I ever meet any of my father’s friends, the standard practice in our culture is to just call them uncle. Out of respect. So I think that kind of multiplied.

Vira: 30:07

That can be confusing, right?

Uzair: 30:09

100%. 100%.

Vira: 30:10

But that’s so much fun. That’s amazing. Yeah. So you can do a lot on Cousins Day. You can share your. Your cousins jokes or like best cousins memories, which I’m sure you have a lot of them. But you also can. Can do like buy one, get one deals like buy one, get one 50% off and share it with your. With your cousin. Or like, you can promote your bundles that can be shared between the cousins or you can promote the gifts for cousins Day. You can do a lot with Cousins Day. But it’s interesting that July 26th is actually parents Day. Yeah. We’ve celebrated like already Father’s Day in June, Mother’s Day in May. But July 26is Parents Day. And I found this, like this meme or I don’t know, just like a saying, hilarious things my mother taught me. You’ve probably seen it before, but I think it’s like so good. Like, my mother taught me to appreciate a job well done. If you’re not going to kill. If you are going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning. My mother.

Uzair: 31:13

I’ve lived this.

Vira: 31:14

That’s like. That’s like a story of my mom, of my. Of my life. Of my mom. Story of my life. My mother taught me logic because I said so. That’s why. I mean, we’ve all been there, right?

Uzair: 31:25

We all argue. You can’t, you can’t argue against that.

Vira: 31:27

Yeah. Or like my mother taught me more logic. If you fail out of that swing and break your neck, you’re not going to the store with me. I mean, it’s kind of been. Been there, done that, right.

Uzair: 31:41

100%.

Vira: 31:42

My mother taught me irony. Keep crying and I’ll give you something to cry about. Yeah. Do they teach them in like some sort of like mom school?

Uzair: 31:53

I’m telling you, I gotta, I gotta figure this out. Yeah. Because I think everyone has had very similar instances. Right? Like, we’ve all had that same upbringing and we’ve all had similar instances in our childhood. That kind of mirror. Like, again, Vira, like, you’re from Ukraine, right?

Vira: 32:08

Right.

Uzair: 32:08

And so your background is complete. Like, I’m from Pakistan and we’ve both had these instances happen in our lives. So it’s crazy. There’s definitely a university for mothers out there. That.

Vira: 32:18

There must be 1.

Uzair: 32:19

  1. 100%.

Vira: 32:20

There must be one. And it’s like, international too. It’s an international university for moms and stuff. Yeah. Aw. I mean, that was. It was so fun to discuss all of those holidays with you, Uzir. I got, like, so much ideas for the months of July. I might need to revise some of my content strategy because all of my calendars are already done for July, but I might need to, like, review them, you know? So, yeah, you guys, we actually have all of those ideas summarized and in the calendar PDF that you can download. So just go to flowium.com calendar and we will send you your very own set of calendars for the entire year. So it’s like super helpful. Flowium.com calendar and of course, don’t forget to subscribe and share this podcast with your friends. And if you and your cousin. Yeah, for sure. Friends, cousins, moms, whoever you think will enjoy it just as much as we enjoy recording it. So, yeah, definitely leave us a review as well. And if you leave us a review and screenshot your review, send it to flowium.com socks and we will send you a pair of your very own branded Flowium socks. And next week we will be talking to Dave Rodenbaugh about psychology of persuasion and why your email sucks and what you can do about it. So regardless of whether your email sucks or not, just come and listen to this podcast because we’ve already recorded it and it’s amazing. One of our probably, like, best guests that we’ve had on this podcast. So definitely come back next Tuesday. Thank you again, Uzair, for joining us today. We should have you again sometime soon. So much fun.

Uzair: 34:03

I gotta do my best impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger and just say, I’ll be back. You know what I mean? Like, I don’t have the accent. I’ll be back.

Vira: 34:11

Yeah, you’re lacking the German accent. You’re lacking that, like, Austrian accent, you know? Exactly. Awesome. Okay, guys, we’ll see you next Tuesday. Thank you. Bye. Bye.
